ReasonEMR was founded by clinicians who were tired of EHR systems that slowed them down instead of helping them care for patients.
Our Story
ReasonEMR started in 2023 when a group of behavioral health clinicians and software engineers came together with a shared frustration: every EHR on the market was built for primary care first, with mental health tacked on as an afterthought.
Progress notes forced into SOAP formats that didn't fit therapy sessions. Treatment plans with no room for evidence-based interventions. Assessment tools that required manual scoring. Billing workflows that didn't understand behavioral health codes.
We knew there had to be a better way. So we built ReasonEMR from scratch — every template, every workflow, every screen designed specifically for how mental health professionals actually work.
